Resource Allocation:

Resources need to be allocated.

No prior allocation of resource is required.

Utilization:

It often leads to low or underutilization of resources.

It ensures optimal usage of resources.

State info:

Lot of state related information needs to be stored.

Not much of information is required as packets are sent randomly.

Reliability:

It ensures reliable transfer of data.

Reliability is not guaranteed as it is a best effort service.

Connection:

Prior connection needs to be established.

No prior connection is established.

Delay:

There is more delay in transfer of information, but once conn. established faster delivery.

However there is no delay due absence of connection establishment phase.

Packet travel:

In this packets travel to their destination node in a sequential manner.

In this packets reach the destination in a random manner.

Congestion:

Congestion is not at all possible.

It is likely that congestion occurs.

Signalling:

Connection is established through process of signalling.

There is no concept of signalling.

Suitability:

It is suitable for long and steady communication.

It is suitable for bursty transmissions.

Transfer mode:

It can be implemented either using Circuit Switching or VCS.

It is implemented using Packet Switching.

Retransmission:

It is possible to retransmit the lost data bits.

It is not possible.

  • The extra copies should preferably be Gazetted Officer(GO) Attested.
  • Birth Affidavit is must in case your Birth Certificate is not in English.
  • Service agreement need not be notarized.
  • The 6th page of Service Agreement is Surety Verification Form.
  • In case your Surety is Income tax payee then Surety’s pancard attested copy is enough no need of original.
  • Also Surety’s ITR/Form 16 needs to be Attested by Gazetted Officer.
  • BGC form should also be taken along with you to ILP. You obtain this once you fill BGC Online.
  • Medical Fitness Certificate can be obtained by any MBBS Practitioner(Doctor).
  • Pancard is mandatory because your salary would be processed through your PAN number.
  • CID Form is applicable to associates living in Mumbai/Thane/Navi-Mumbai/Pune Regions.
  • It is preferable you bring around 20-25 photographs.
  • Preferably you should start these activities 15 days prior to your joining date.
  • These documents are general for instance a person who had GAP needs to even produce GAP Affidavit.
  • Likewise Documents pertaining to Surety differ for associate producing FD/Agricultural Land.

TCS NSR Registration For Associates

TCS NSR Registration For Associates

Hello friends!!! Welcome back and after so many days I am back to blogging. This time I thought of simplifying the stuff related to TCS Documentation which is a must do activity by each of the candidate joining for ILP (Initial Learning Programme).

What all the documentation stuff includes?

Rather than telling you what all things you need to keep ready, I will make you walk through the entire process.

1. NSR Registration And Generation Of NSR Ecard

First I recommend you to start with NSR (National Skills Registration) registration process. Before going to NSR official website I would request you to first go and study FAQ in www.nextstep.tcs.com/campus >>Login>>ILP Corner> >ILP FAQS>>NSR. Most of your queries would be sorted there. Once you finished reading the FAQ’s go to https://nationalskillsregistry.com/ .
Click on Register Now and you will be directed to guidelines page. Give a look to the instruction and select the I Agree radio button and press Submit. You would be redirected to Registration Form.

In the “NSR Registration Requested By “section choose My Future Employer and select Tata Consultancy Service Ltd. Fill up the rest of the information accordingly. Once you fill click on “Save and Continue” you would be redirected to the next page and an Acknowledgement number would be generated and note it down as it is required each time you login. Then in this page fill up necessary details and click on save and continue. Finally you would be redirected to the last page. Select presently employed as NO and finally “Submit & View”. Then you would receive an Acknowledgement receipt and take out a print and go to NSR POS (Point Of Service). There are no as such timings generally its open from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm. For more details of POS go to following website: https://nationalskillsregistry.com/pos-details-register.htm The only thing you require is take the ID proof along with acknowledgement Form. Also the fees mentioned in receipt :).

Once you go to POS they will take your finger prints and acknowledgement receipt and within a maximum of week you would receive IPTIN number within your provided Email id. Once you receive IPTIN you just need to go to www.nextstep.tcs.com/campus >>Login>>ILP Corner> >NSR. Enter the 12 digit ITR PIN number in the field provided and kudos your NSR registration process is completed.
Now go to NSR website and Login with your credentials. Click on the “Request For”>>”Generate NSR Ecard” and here is your NSR Ecard generated!!!

Ecommerce is subset of Ebusiness.

Ebusiness is superset of Ecommerce.

Ecommerce is use of electronic transmission medium that caters for buying and selling of products and services.

In addition, Ebusiness also includes the exchange of information directly related to buying and selling of products.

Thus, Those activities which essentially involve monetary transactions are termed as “e-commerce”.

In addition it includes activities like procurement of raw materials or goods, customer education, looking for suppliers etc.

Ecommerce usually requires the use of just a Website.

Ebusiness involves the use of CRM’s, ERP’s that connect different business processes.

Ecommerce covers outward facing processes that touch customers, suppliers and external partners.

E-business covers internal processes such as production, inventory management, product development, risk management, finance etc.

Ecommerce just involves Buying and selling of products and services.

Ebusiness includes all kinds of pre-sale and post-sale efforts.

Ecommerce is narrower concept and restricted to buying and selling.

It is a broader concept that involves market surveying, supply chain and logistic management and using Datamining.

It is more appropriate in B2C context.

It is used in the context of B2B transactions.

Pointers

Smart Pointers and Naked Pointers

C++ supports pointers there comes the concept of smart and naked pointer.Apart from C++ pointers are also used in game programming to dynamically allocate and deallocate memory and for pointing game world objects.

Naked Pointers

  • These are basically pointers to the object and are declared using new operator.
  • They are often referred to dumb or raw pointers.
  • The objects pointed by these pointers are declared on the heap region of memory.
  • Also it is necessary that objects are referenced by atleast one other object.
  • Otherwise, this can lead to memory leak.
  • Because in absence of additional referencing object it is not possible to free the resources allocated to object.
  • This memory leak can lead to application crashes.
  • This situation is more possible in case of Large Application programming.

This could be better understood by an example, lets dive into an example of ship.

Imagine a ship object that owns everything on the ship. When the ship sinks, everything else is destroyed along with it. If you use naked pointers to create these relationships you have to remember who owns who. This can be a confusing or even impossible task. You’ll find that using naked pointers will quickly paint you into a corner.

It is common for an object on the heap to be referred multiple times by other objects in the code. So there comes the need for using additional objects to refer the existing object. A Example of this is a game object like a clock. A pointer to the clock will exist in the game object, in collision system, animation system, and even in the sound system. If you use naked pointers you must remember which objects implicitly own other objects. An object that owns other objects controls their existence.

Smart pointers

  • On the other hand, Smart Pointers hold additional information along with the address of the distant object.
  • This information could be regarding count of references, record permanence or temporary ownership, or information to perform other useful tasks.
  • In a sense an object controlled by a smart pointer “knows” about every reference to itself.
  • The horrible nest of naked pointers evaporates, leaving a simple and foolproof mechanism for handling your dynamic objects.
